And again my favorite retro. Let it be NY. I've never been there. It seems to me that this is exactly what the morning of a typical day looked like in about 1962.

In Morning. NY, Igor Shulman imagines a fleeting moment in an urban morning. The composition centers on a yellow taxi, its driver partially visible, withdrawn into private thought. Around the vehicle, a line of pedestrians passes along a pale wall - dark silhouettes whose features remain indistinct, echoing the anonymity of the city crowd.
The restrained palette creates a subtle yet powerful tension: blacks and greys against an off-white wall, pierced only by the warmth of the taxi’s yellow body. This single bright note both anchors the composition and underscores the theme of separation between the individual inside the car and the faceless multitude outside.
