I’m not an art historian or critic — just an ordinary person and a stylist by profession. But I’ve been a longtime admirer of Igor Shulman’s work and try to visit every exhibition he holds. We’re lucky to own a few of his pieces, and each time I see his art, I discover something new. This time, I want to share my thoughts on his latest show, New Saints.

What truly amazed me was how unique his style is, and how deeply his paintings communicate emotion. To me, Shulman’s works don’t just sit silently on the wall — they seem to have their own sound, their own life. Every piece tells a story that feels ongoing, as if the figures, animals, or objects are vibrating with a hidden energy.

The New Saints collection felt almost sacred — like icons frozen in time, like silent martyrs. The depth of meaning and the incredible technique left me breathless. How does he capture such intensity? It’s nothing short of magical. This collection is whole and complete. Its power lies in that unity. Whoever becomes the next owner will have a true masterpiece — something utterly unique.

While at the exhibition, I wandered into the next room where other works by Igor were displayed. There, animals seemed to come alive with the sounds of nature — the honking of geese, the gentle steps of cows. Returning to the main hall, a hush fell over the space, like the quiet reverence of a temple.

Even weeks later, I’m still moved by the experience. I want to thank Igor for sharing his incredible talent and for the joy of visiting his exhibitions. Maestro, please keep creating — we’re all eagerly waiting for what comes next.
