When I was a child I had the feeling that the whole town I lived in consisted of fences. It was quite common for everything to be locked when I was a child. I mean, things that could be surrounded by a fence. It was a time trend. People just loved to hide themselves behind a high fence. However, it was impossible to hide something from boys.
We had felt fences not as a barrier, but as an exciting sport event. We had asked ourselves: who would be the fastest to jump over a fence without hurting him- or herself anything? We did it like birds.
There was no fence in the world that couldn’t be beaten by us.
