Painting Overview
I feel that a new project is being born.
I’ve been sneaking up on this topic for several years now. I would call it a modern icon. This has nothing to do with iconography and its canons. You will not see the usual saints with halos over their heads here. Rather, it is my idea of icons, saints and halos. And don’t forget about context. We live today. And I believe that everything, including icons, should sound differently today.
How? This is someone like. For example, like this.
And I also wanted to make a necessary comment.
I’m not a religious person at all. And the icon for me is not an object of worship, but a work of art. I have always treated religious people with respect. I know that many of them are very jealous of all religious paraphernalia.
I ask your forgiveness if I unwittingly disturbed your peace or invaded your sacred territory.
I did not strive for this and did not set it as my goal to laugh at your sacred things.
I’m just an artist. I see things a little differently than you do.
And the last one. For this project, I have developed a special signature. It will be in all the works of this project.
