Painting Overview
Recently while being on a short trip I wandered into an abandoned church. It is quite hard to believe in, but it turns out that there are such churches in the very center of Europe.
Emotionally it was strong and unbearable.
The church itself existed for a long time as an art object. In this context the fallen chandelier turns out to be a powerful and very deep metaphor, which is to imply the fall of light, morals, the humanity level and faith itself.
The only thing that keeps it going is the atmosphere. The dust of ages mixed itself with uncertainty of existence, thus transferring the feeling of abandonment and emptiness.
I guess this is my tenth chandelier.
I will continue.
