This creates a contrast of meanings and a clash of interests, provoking curiosity and engagement. This approach is much more interesting.
In terms of technique, I traditionally create this work on canvas using oil paints. The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame, meaning the painting is ready to hang upon completion.
