Darren’s Story: “Piano” from Igor Shulman’s Musician Series Finds a Home in Australia
When Darren N. stumbled upon a mysterious musician print in a local shop, he had no idea it was an early work by Igor Shulman. Now, it’s a cherished part of his home—and he’s sharing the story behind it.
Sometimes, art finds us in the most unexpected places. Darren N. from Australia discovered a striking print of a musician at a local shop—no artist’s name, just a piece that immediately spoke to him. Drawn to its charm, he brought it home, not knowing the story behind it.
After some searching and a few messages, Darren connected with Igor Shulman himself. To his surprise, Igor recognized the piece as one of his own—an early work from the Musician Series titled Piano. Igor admitted he’d almost forgotten about this drawing, but was delighted to see it living on, halfway across the world.
For Darren, the discovery was more than just finding out who made the art. “As soon as I saw it, I knew I needed to have it,” he says. “Now I can tell people who drew it and put them on to your work.”
The print now hangs proudly in his home, a daily reminder of how art can connect people across continents and time.
We’re excited to share photos of Darren’s Piano print in its new home, along with a few views of how it fits into his space.
Thank you, Darren, for reaching out and letting us be part of your story!
