Chandeliers: Between Darkness and Glow

About light and darkness. How could we really see light if we never experienced darkness? To me, a chandelier is like a powerful container of light. It represents the birth and growth of light itself. The crystals of a lit chandelier hold thousands of shades and colors. But I’m just as fascinated by a chandelier that’s asleep, dim and shadowy—waiting for the light to come. Or one that’s broken, never to shine again and bring us joy. I’ve been creating these chandeliers for about 10 years now, and each one is unique and romantic in its own way.

The Extinguished Chandelier (2016)

I wondered how the crystals of an unlit chandelier would look in low light, capturing the quiet beauty of light’s absence.

The Second Chandelier (2016)

This is my second chandelier painting. I was fascinated by how light bends and reflects through the crystals. I think this one turned out even more interesting than the first.

Large Crystal Chandelier. 4 Try (2018)

With each new chandelier, I push myself further. This one is bigger and more detailed than before. It’s full of warmth and positive energy — my way of sharing love through art.

Chandelier #5. Shining (2019)

This is pure light, as I see it. Comparing it to my first chandelier, you’d think they’re by different artists. Over time, I’ve learned so much about light and painting. I really like this one.

Chandelier Number 6. The Latest Version (2019)

At first, I wasn’t drawn to chandeliers, but my wife convinced me to try. Now I see the magic in how a small flame creates so much light. This giant chandelier shines with the spirit of Christmas and new beginnings.

The Chandelier is Defeated and Forgotten (2021)

I found this fallen chandelier in an abandoned church. It felt like a powerful symbol of lost light and fading faith. The dust and silence around it made the scene deeply emotional.

Twilight Chandelier (2025)

This chandelier is caught in twilight — not yet shining, but ready to burst into light. It’s a strange, quiet moment full of anticipation. I find that very exciting.

Chandelier #9. Harmony (2025)

My ninth chandelier painting. No hidden meanings here, just a shining crystal chandelier meant to bring light and joy. Imagine how it could brighten your space with its calm, radiant presence.
