I did not imagine Themis herself, but her scales. There is nothing remarkable about her apothecary scales. They’re depicted in thousands of paintings. I imagined the scales of my childhood. It remained in my memory as a large common measure.
Imagine arguments in the form of cast-iron weights on one side and a weightless little feather on the other. How do you think the outcome would be decided? Nobody knows. It depends on who’s behind the counter.
