If anyone else doesn’t know who Azrael is, I’ll explain.
In Eastern mythology, he’s the angel of death.
I’ve imagined what the angel of death might look like today. Apparently he looks like this. A regular drone with a grenade.
This is my first painting since the beginning of the war about the war. The subject is too painful for me. It took me a long time to find the meaning of this war. But how can you find meaning in senseless aggression?
I don’t want to write a political manifesto instead of describing the painting. I am always on the side of the victim.
The most important thing in this painting is the mood. The disturbing color of the war sky. The first-person perspective.
I don’t know if anyone will buy this painting. When I did it, I didn’t think about it at all. It was important for me to get it out.
